Help stop overfishing and protect our oceans

As the practice of industrialized, high-tech commercial fishing has spread across the globe, overfishing has emerged as one of the most serious threats to our oceans. The good news is that Congress recently strengthened and reauthorized the Magnuson-Stevens Act (MSA), which is the nation’s comprehensive fish and oceans conservation law. The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is now charged with rule-making for the new law.
